The Room 2 Bloom contest is an outdoor redesign contest created by the Evansville Courier & Press and sponsored by FC Tucker Emge Realtors. Two homeowners from the Tri-State area will each receive a $1,500 professionally landscaped redesign of an outdoor area by Scotty's Lawn and Garden Center. The redesign will consist of labor and materials for the outdoor area submitted for the Room 2 Bloom contest.

Official Entry Forms will be available daily at the 3rd Annual FC Tucker Emge Room2Bloom Contest Submission Page from 12:00 a.m. Monday, March 3 through NOON CST on Friday, March 21 for online entry. They will also appear in the Evansville Courier & Press several days (but not all) throughout the month of March. Your name, email address, street address, city, state, zip, daytime phone and evening phone numbers is required on the official entry form.

Contest entries will be accepted from 12:00 a.m. Monday, March 3 through Friday, March 21 at NOON CST and be submitted at the 3rd Annual FC Tucker Emge Room2Bloom Contest Submission Page. In addition, completed entry forms can be dropped off during normal business hours at the Evansville Courier & Press, 300 E. Walnut St., Evansville, IN 47713.

Entry forms must include a photograph of the specific area of your yard that you want landscaped along with a brief description (maximum 50 words) of your landscaping problems and why your yard is most serving of a makeover.

Ten finalists will be selected by a panel of judges Tuesday, March 25th. Photos of the 10 finalists will be taken between 8:00 am to ­ 7:00 pm from Wednesday, March 26 through Monday, March 31st.

From Thursday, April 3rd through Wednesday April 30th, photos of the 10 finalists' outdoor areas will be displayed along with voting forms at the 3rd Annual FC Tucker Emge Room2Bloom Contest Voting Page. Voting by the public begins on Thursday, April 3rd at 12:00 a.m. through Wednesday, April 31st at NOON CST. The two finalists that receive the most votes from the public will be selected as the Grand Prize winners. Voters are allowed one vote per household per day.

From all votes cast during the contest, one person will be selected by random drawing to receive a $250 cash prize.

After the Grand Prize Winners are selected, the landscape designers will meet with the two winning homeowners. Landscaping work should begin in May 2007 weather permitting. Before and after photos of the two Grand Prize Winners' outdoor areas will be published online at the 3rd Annual FC Tucker Emge Room2Bloom Contest Winners' Page through late May or early June 2008.

1. No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest. Entry forms and voting forms are available at the 3rd Annual FC Tucker Emge Room2Bloom Contest Page or at the newspaper offices at Courier & Press, 300 E. Walnut, Evansville, Indiana 47713. You must own and reside in the home that you are submitting. You may not participate in the contest if you lease or rent the home that you want to submit as an entry.

2. You must be 18 years or age or older.

3. One entry per household.

4. As an entrant in the contest, you agree to allow your name and address, your photo, and photo of your outdoor area to be used in all promotional materials relating to the contest. By submitting your email address on your entry, you are agreeing to accept future communications from courierpress.com and its advertising partners.

5. To receive the Grand Prize, you must sign a Consent Form releasing the Courier & Press and all sponsors, their employees, owners and properties from any legal action and allowing the redesign of your outdoor area.

6. To receive the Grand Prize, you agree that before and after photos can be taken of your outdoor area that you are submitting for the contest. These photos will be using for promotional purposes and become the property of the Courier & Press.

7. Evansville Courier Company employees, sponsors, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.

8. If you are selected as a finalist, you must be available between 8:00 am ­ 7:00 pm from Wednesday March 26 through Monday March 31 for a photo of the outdoor area at a mutually agreeable date and time. If you are not available, a new finalist will be selected from the remaining entries.

9. The newspaper's determination of the winners shall be final. The Courier & Press reserves the right to revoke the contest prizes if the winners do not meet any or all of the eligibility and contest requirements.

10. Participants waive any and all claims of liability against the Courier & Press and Sponsors, their affiliates, employees and agents for any accident, loss or injury arising in connection with or resulting from the contest. Each participant assumes any and all risks, costs and problems associated with the contest and all applicable taxes with any prize winnings.
